Morning Routine
As the sun rises over the city, I begin my day as an HVAC technician at Farley & Hysaw Heating & Air Conditioning Co., Inc. After a quick breakfast, I don my uniform and head to the office for our daily briefing.
First Call of the Day
Today’s first appointment is an air conditioning repair at a local residence. The homeowner reported that their system wasn’t cooling properly. Upon arrival, I perform a thorough inspection and discover a refrigerant leak. With the customer’s approval, I proceed to:
- Locate and repair the leak
- Recharge the system with the appropriate amount of refrigerant
- Test the system to ensure proper functioning
Lunch Break
After completing the morning job, I take a short lunch break. It’s a great opportunity to refuel and prepare for the afternoon ahead.
Afternoon Tasks
The afternoon brings a commercial HVAC maintenance job at a nearby office building. As part of Farley & Hysaw’s commitment to preventive care, I perform a comprehensive check-up on their system, including:
- Cleaning or replacing air filters
- Inspecting and cleaning condenser and evaporator coils
- Checking refrigerant levels and electrical connections
- Lubricating moving parts as needed
End of Day
As the workday winds down, I return to the Farley & Hysaw office to complete paperwork and discuss any notable issues with my supervisor. It’s been a productive day, and I’m proud to be part of a team that helps keep our community comfortable year-round.
Before heading home, I take a moment to review tomorrow’s schedule and ensure my service vehicle is stocked and ready for another day of providing top-notch HVAC services to our valued customers.
